DVDpedia database appears empty
I just opened DVDpedia--no recent software or hardware updates--and my database file said I had zero movies entered (it should say 3230). My Collections all had the right numbers by them in the left-hand navigation, but when I clicked on a Collection, the number immediately went to zero and also app...

Re: CDpedia 4.5.3: Get iTunes CD info not always working
Sorry, it's been a while since I've had a chance to investigate this. Restarting the computer doesn't change things, nor does deleting the script from the plug-ins folder. And in fact, I do see an error in Console each time I get a blank edit window: 9/18/09 9:49:37 PM CDpedia[1001] CISourceOutCompo...

Re: CDpedia 4.5.1: bug in Refresh iTunes Tracks
Yes, that's correct. And unlike the original poster, I don't even have to make any changes in the edit window. Just simply opening it to the Tracks tab and then closing it changes the single note icon to the double note icon.

Re: CDpedia 4.5.3: Get iTunes CD info not always working
Good suggestions, Conor. I'll try all of them tonight when I'm at home and report back what I find.
Thanks for the help,

Re: CDpedia 4.5.1: bug in Refresh iTunes Tracks
I do see that, yes. And I have a lot of tracks in iTunes (about 14,000), so it takes a bit of time.
Thanks,

Re: CDpedia 4.5.3: Get iTunes CD info not always working
p.s. in case it's relevant, I'm running MacOS 10.5.8 and iTunes 8.2.1 on a G5 PPC, and I have tried reinstalling the plug-in with no effect.

CDpedia 4.5.3: Get iTunes CD info not always working
This is something new from 4.5.1 (where it worked perfectly) to 4.5.3. When I first launch the application, if I have a CD loaded in the player and iTunes open, using the "Get iTunes CD info" script operates as expected. But any subsequent attempt to use the script simply opens a new Edit ...

Re: CDpedia 4.5.1: bug in Refresh iTunes Tracks
This is still the case in 4.5.3. In fact, some of my albums do not even show the single note once the Refresh command is complete, although as the OP pointed out, it changes to the double note after opening and closing the tracks tab of the edit window.

Re: Amazon Killing Mobile Apps That Use Its Data
Hi Conor, This is really more of a request/suggestion than a question. Within reasonable expectations, can you keep testing the "old" app for backwards compatibility? I've make a back-up copy of the app in case Amazon (through Apple) causes PocketPedia to mysteriously disappear from my iPh...

Re: Amazon Killing Mobile Apps That Use Its Data
I know this is going to take up a lot of space on this board, but I wanted to share the message I sent to Amazon. I don't expect them to acknowledge it in any way, but the more people comment on their policy in an intelligent, professional way the better chance there is that the policy will be modif...

Re: DVDPedia/Leopard/iSight
Hi Conor, It never occurred to me that this might be dependent on where the items were purchased. The 4 titles that I cannot get recognized were bought used from a video rental store, but appear to have legitimate barcodes on the back. Anyway, I went back to several titles I know to be recognized an...

Re: DVDPedia/Leopard/iSight
I just downloaded DVDpedia version 4.3.0, and immediately tried to scan in a new DVD. As before, it accurately identifies the correct UPN, but it goes through every site and ends with "There are no matches for..." But if I search by title, it shows up in Amazon immediately. This may be a d...
