Re: Pedas can't accept MM/DD/YY date inputs
But that doesn't fix the problem. It shouldn't matter how I input a date. For example, my date format is "%b %d %Y". Since that is my ordering of date elements, a Pedia should be agnostic as to whether I'm entering them as "June 30 2010" or "6/30/2010". What it should m...

Re: I can't turn off backups?
That shell command works for all pedias (with appropriate substitutions)? Why isn't it an option in Preferences? There's no obvious reason to make it hidden. As to "really interfere", that's not really the point. I think it poor application behavior to: 1) Create backups of user data witho...

Bookpedia: ignore articles in Series
"The Walls of Air" should sort under 'W' and "The Reaches" should sort under 'R', rather than 'T' as both do now. At least make it an option.

Pedas can't accept MM/DD/YY date inputs
If I want to enter a date as a slashed-triplet, I must always use DD/MM/YY (30/6/2010). There should be an option to tell a Pedia that you want to enter dates as MM/DD/YY (American standard).

I can't turn off backups?
The Pedias create the files backup1Month.pediadata, backup2Month.pediadata, etc. Since I religiously do my own backups, these do nothing but waste space in my opinion. How do I turn off this feature? I'd also like an option to disable and remove Backup Quickpicks (which are only created by Gamepedia...

How do *you* handle certain stuff in Bookpedia?
Wrt anthologies, I've been putting the editor in the Author field because it's simpler and makes sorting work out right, but I was wondering what y'all did for your collections. Unfortunately there's no way to to make it work "right" if you leave Author empty and keep the editor in the Edi...

Re: Problem with selecting words in Info Pane
Maybe it behaves differently depending on which one's used? Further tests on Bookpedia say it does. Collection, Light, Plain, Tabbed, Tiger, TigerImage, and TigerPastel behave as described. Grey, Light2, TigerColumn have no apparent word selection misbehaviors. GreyImage also doesn't misbehave, tho...

Problem with selecting words in Info Pane
In OSX, double-clicking on a word selects that word. You can then type Apple-C to copy it into the paste buffer or Apple-V to copy over it from the paste buffer. You can even double-click and scroll left/right to select strings of words (rather than individual characters). Enough with the OSX lesson...

Copy items from Info pane to paste buffer
It would be really convenient if you could click on a field in the Info pane (Apple-I) to copy that information into the copy/paste buffer. Usually, I use that information to power Google or Amazon searches. 1Password has a similar feature.

Bookpedia needs a "Tracks" edit pane
Actually, I'm not sure what to call it. Analagous to the Tracks pane in CDpedia, where you can list "Track Name + Artist (optional)", Bookpedia needs a pane where you can list "Story Name + Author (optional)". You can't completely document an anthology or omnibus without it.

Why the change in URL handling in 4.6?
It used to be that if a record had an ASIN, but no URL, *Pedia would navigate to amazon.com/dp/{ASIN} or its equivalent if you clicked on the Title of the record. Very handy. Now *Pedia simply says the URL is missing and ignores the ASIN.

Re: iPad version!!
How is any Pedia supposed to know where data comes from? For the Blu-rays I buy, I get the basic movie info from IMDB and the disc specs from blu-ray.com or highdefdiscnews.com. I keep an ASIN or Amazon URL only because Amazon is usually where I purchase discs and Iike to keep records, not because t...

*Pedia 4.5.4: Shouldn't "Mark As Bought" set "Purchased On"?
I find it weird that when I mark a Wishlist item as Bought with Shift-Command-R, it does not set the Purchased On field to today's date. Alternately, marking an item as Wishlist with Shift-Command-L should clear the Purchased On field.

DVDpedia 4.5.4: text not selected in edit window
When you tab to the next item in the edit window, normally all of the text of the next item is selected. I note that some items, like Starring do not have their text selected. That's doesn't seem right.
