Re: PocketPedia
Thank you Conor for your fuller explanation on the state of play with the iDevice versions of the Pedia's. Though I only have an iPad 2nd generation, I can not wait to beta test it on that iDevice as well as the testing I am currently assisting with on the iPhone4. But I am sure that Pocketpedia is ...

Re: PocketPedia
I agree with Spad 100%. It's been OVER 2 YEARS since the pedias had an iPhone app. ....27 months without an iPhone app is a joke and a disgrace - you're the ones who should be in the doghouse. Please be patient. Bruji is really just TWO people; husband and wife team Conor & Nora, with Conor doi...

Re: Films vs physical media
Sorry, I follow you now. I have 3 versions of Close Encounters of Third Kind - original release, extended and directors cut. You could still use one or both of the Custom Text fields and still hyperlink them.

Re: Films vs physical media
Speaking of the "Alternative Versions" version section, I'd like to see that as a field in my dvdpedia InfoView. Presently, I have my 'Duration' Field hyperlinked to it, which is fine. But again, it's mostly film-centric more than product specific. You know you can set up your "Custo...

Re: Why I'm abandoning CDpedia after 5 years
I do not personally have CDpedia (only DVDpedia and Bookpedia) but I can comment on your Points 1 & 4. 1 - The iPhone App - Pocketpedia3 - is in Beta testing right now - I am one of the testers and it is a great App. Two of the reasons it has taken so long: is Apples strict compliance regulation...

Re: Did I just waste $18?
So...do things like this happen all the time? Doghouse is shaping up to be accurate but is in its infancy. IMDb is the most accurate database I have found as a Doghouse Moderator, so I have set my Site Preferences order with IMDb first, then JB Hi-Fi (Australian use only for me), Amazon UK, Amazon ...

Re: FancyIndex for DVDPedia 5?
I could be wrong but I thought FancyIndex came pre-packaged with the pedia as opposed to coming as a separate download from the Extras page. Anyway the only suggestion I have is if you are using MyFancyIndex as opposed to FancyIndex, is that you delete MyFancyIndex from ~/Library/Application Support...

Re: FancyIndex for DVDPedia 5?
Hello ! Will once the the great "FancyIndex" html export template be amended to be compliant with DVDPedia 5? Thanks May one ask what is wrong with it - for you? as mine is working with version 5.0.2 Beta 11. Or are you talking about the new Custom fields which appeared in version 5.0? Cu...

Re: "Moderator" Info View Template - UPDATE
Oh Yes - Thanks Nora - I forgot about the browser settings. And to those who are interested in editing ANY of the pedia html files, I strongly recommend TextWrangler as your editor. It adheres to all the international standards and is so easy to use. I learnt html and css using this great App. It is...

"Moderator" Info View Template - UPDATE
Recently I had accepted an Info View Template called "Moderator" http://www.bruji.com/extras/moderator.html . This template was especially designed for Doghouse Moderators to enable easier search checking of DVD's. Conor has kindly added a piece of Java Script to the Bruji servers which en...

Re: Bad keycombo, no dog biscuit!
On these sort of design & usability problems/questions would it not be better to open up a 'Poll' Topic, leave it up for a couple of weeks and see what at least all the regular forums users think. I would assume that it would be the regular forum users who would be the heaviest users of the pedi...

Re: Editing/Reporting wrong entries in database
And if I may be so bold - but I have put together a Moderator Info View template designed especially for Moderators. It is a cut down template (code wise-no custom pref settings etc) but with the addition of some links to websites to specifically check & verify movie info. If you know a bit abou...

Re: Newbie Q1 Changing info
As adamhh said, move IMDb to the top of the list, I have always found they have the most accurate credit list and in a good order. But the trick to getting a good looking end result is to delete all the credit entries from your data base first then update from IMDb. Amazon is not so good at providin...
