Re: Should the Pedia's move to a Different Financial Model
Fortunately, this (at least) cannot happen. Since the pedias have an open architecture (one of their biggest assets) the data remains accessible even if the software should stop functioning. So how do I access this open architecture data? I know that I can export data from CDPedia, but the original...

Re: Should the Pedia's move to a Different Financial Model
Yes, the "data held for ransom" issue is what puts me firmly against subscriptions. I've spent many hours (probably adding up to weeks in total) entering in data, and I don't want the risk of losing all of that. Also, what happens if Conor decides to stop developing the Pedias? Does that m...

Re: Should the Pedia's move to a Different Financial Model
I am pretty seriously against the subscription model. I have stopped using several pieces of software because they moved to a subscription model. I thinik a better approach is the old-fashioned one of charging for major-version upgrades. We're already on version 7 (beta), and I think I started with ...

Re: CDPedia no longer searching discogs
Looks like the latest beta (7.0 beta 306) brings back Discogs search. Yay! Now I can go back to using the beta. Thanks, Conor!

Re: IMPORTANT - Pedia's for Apple Silicon Released
Looks like Discogs search is back in the latest CDPedia beta. Thanks, Conor!
Also, I would happily pay for the upgrade to 7.0. If you're still working on it despite your hiatus (which you seem to be), then you deserve to be paid for that.

Re: Is pocketpedia no longer on the app store?
Replying to myself, PocketPedia still seems to be available on the app store if you've already downloaded it. I restored to my replacement iPad, and PocketPedia ended up being installed (unlike a few other apps that are no longer on the app store). Oddly, I can't find PocketPedia on the app store, s...

CDPedia no longer searching discogs
I recently switched to the CDPedia 7.0 beta (to get the Apple Silicon native version), and I noticed that CDPedia no longer gets data from discogs. Is that deliberate? Is it a bug in beta version (which means that it might never be fixed)? Is there anything that I could do to fix it? Discogs is so m...

Is pocketpedia no longer on the app store?
I know that the pedias are on hiatus, but I need to replace my iPad, and it looks like Pocketpedia is no longer on the app store. When you move to a new device, apps are restored from the app store, so that's a problem. I don't want to lose access to my library on my iPad. Does anyone have a solutio...

Re: Pocketpedia crashes on startup
A bit late, but I can confirm that the latest version also fixed the crash for me. I'm still using iOS 7 on my iPad 2, because performance of iOS 8 and 9 is supposed to be pretty bad on it. I guess I'm supposed to be tossing out my iPad 2 and replacing it with the latest and greatest, but I'm trying...

Pocketpedia crashes on startup
On my iPad 2 (running iOS 7.1.2), the latest version of Pocketpedia crashes on startup. Any idea what might be going wrong or how to fix it?
