Re: Ports to non-Apple platforms?
That would certainly be welcome, Alex. Just the ability to take my collection with me is all I need. I won't be adding to it or editing it other than on my desktop Mac. Take a look at the instructions page and give the feature a whirl, let me know if you run into any problems. I'm actually working ...

Re: Ports to non-Apple platforms?
While Bruji will not be making an Android version of Pocketpedia any time soon, we are working on a new feature which is the Online User's Library , in beta right now, that will allow you to view and share your collections online without much effort. Granted, it's not Pocketpedia, but it might help...

Re: Ports to non-Apple platforms?
Just to add my two cents to this thread, which hasn't had an update in a long time. I love DVDPedia. Have done from the first day I got it, years ago. But like a lot of people I have abandoned iOS devices and moved across to Android. I very much miss a portable version of DVDPedia and hope that some...

Re: Plex Media server integration
Hi Guys, DVDPedia integration for PMS ( Plex Media Server ) It would be very cool to be able to use the information entered in the dvd pedia, in the Plex media server. ( in my case close to 1.000 movies) Currently Plex Media server has very limited options for adding / changing data, and secondly, ...

Re: Delete all Field Information
Select all the entries you want to do the delete on. Then open the Edit window and locate the Genre field. Empty the field, make sure the check box is ticked and then click OK or whatever. You will now have empty Genre fields for all the selected entries. Oh Awesome!!! Thank you so much kbarnes70 t...

Re: Delete all Field Information
Hi, I was just wondering if it is possible to select all your movies in list view and only delete a specific field from all of them? I am wanting to delete all the "Genre" Fields from all my movies and update them, but at the moment i can only seem to do this one at a time, which will tak...

Re: Please, please, please...iPad
It'll sync your data from the Desktop Pedia programs for starters. Other features will be added later - thanks for the suggestion on the remote - but first we want to get the app out. Hi Nora, Will be able to add and edit data on the iPad version? This would be so cool - I could lie on the couch, E...

Re: Smart collection to find movies on DVD and also on Blu-r
Hi Keith I'm not sure about the smart collection from your existing set up. However, I too own several media types of one film. To keep the collection neat(er) and avoid replication I list the title only once using the best/preferable media. Then in 'Tags' I list that its also on ... (I now use 'cu...

Re: Play Ripped Movie files
I've also found the amazing PLEX today too to use as a front end. A sensational program.sjk wrote:I'd almost suggested trying MacDVDRipper Pro (MDRP) if you didn't already have/use MTR 4.

Re: Play Ripped Movie files
thanks to sjk's tip about renaming the folder with an added .dvdmedia suffix. An "Append .dvdmedia Extension To Folders" preference (disabled by default) was added to some version of MTR 4 (MacTheRipper). Similar prefs exist in MacDVDRipper Pro and RipIt. Getting MTR 4 is slightly more di...

Re: Play Ripped Movie files
Good luck Keith! Do let us know how it goes. I recently bought a mac mini and have similar aspirations. But for now, I'm still upgrading VHS! I'm about half way there but I've still got 360 features and at least 1000 shorts to dvd-r record. How epic these projects are! Sure will let you know. I hav...

Re: Play Ripped Movie files
Glad that helped you, Keith. Btw, you can use "Show Package Contents" in Finder to view the contents of folders with .dvdmedia (and other) extensions that'll launch apps when opened normally (e.g. by double-clicking). Thanks again. This is going to be a major project for me. 650 DVDs, all...

Thanks sjk. That does the job just fine.
