Re: Pocketpedia3

Just a quick note saying how much I'm loving Pocketpedia3 - although I've been enjoying the iphone version some time, the ipad version is sweet! I can't believe how useful I'm finding having the databases on all platforms.

Re: Films vs physical media

Hero is problematic film to date in terms of release. Miramax owned the rights in the US and famously (in the industry at least) sat on the film for 2 years while deciding what to do with it. One might argue this delay was design i.e. they knew Kill Bill was in production and wanted to piggy-back t...

Re: DVDpedia: Collection View Preferences

I'm having a problem with sorts in list view. It used to be that sort orders would be remembered; ie If I clicked on three column headers 1, 2, 3. The records would be be displayed alphabetically primarily by 3, then 2 then 1. This isn't happening anymore. It's frustrating, when I want to see films ...

Re: Failed Search will result in a pre-filled Add if selecte

Welcome Popeye. I think I know what you mean, it is kind of annoying to have to retype. I always try to copy the search term before hitting the search button. That way I can paste it into a manually added box if necessary. I also like to verify data, so this paste is also used in another web search ...

Re: DVDpedia: Entering Tags

Strange! For me simply using the comma works (though I must confess to intuitively using the right arrow first)

Re: IMDB search not working

Can I just say that the Doghouse came into its own during this IMDB white-out. :D

I'm pleased to say that the Doghouse had 3 out of the 4 DVDs I wanted to add to my collection

Re: IMDB search not working

Thanks for speedy fix people. However, my edit box on the beta is incomplete. I'm lacking the cog in the bottom right hand corner (and thus cannot update info), plus the 'next' and 'previous' buttons though functional are blank (ie no arrows). EDIT: My edit facility is crumbling - now the rating sta...

Re: Newbie Q1 Changing info

Hi Mike Welcome to the bruji forum. > Go into Preferences (in DVDpedia next to the apple) > go to 'sites', >move imdb to the top of your list. While you are there click on the cog to let dvdpedia know exactly what info you want to harvest from imdb. Job done! I suspect the reason for some but not al...

Re: ADD, not REPLACE, tags

It is my experience that any new tags entered into a multiple edit will only add the new tag to whatever old tags are in place. In fact only tags that are shared by EVERY entry in the multiple edit will even appear in the dialogue box. If this is the case, simply adding the new tag to the end of the...

Not sure if you're sill looking Alex. But the British Radio Times website has quite a good database for feature films: http://www.radiotimes.com/film/

Re: Smart collection to find movies on DVD and also on Blu-r

Hi Keith I'm not sure about the smart collection from your existing set up. However, I too own several media types of one film. To keep the collection neat(er) and avoid replication I list the title only once using the best/preferable media. Then in 'Tags' I list that its also on ... (I now use 'cus...

Re: Play Ripped Movie files

Good luck Keith! Do let us know how it goes. I recently bought a mac mini and have similar aspirations. But for now, I'm still upgrading VHS! I'm about half way there but I've still got 360 features and at least 1000 shorts to dvd-r record. How epic these projects are!
