Re: "PocketPedia" using EverNote
Thanks Senius I've been very frustrated by not being able to have my collections on the iphone. However my problem with EverNote has been that the size of my collection (4000+ in DVDpedia, 2000+ CDpedia etc) means that the whole collection never completely appears in the resulting pdf, no matter wha...

"Recent Edits" in Smart Collection
Is it possible to create a smart collection that contains recently edited entries, similar to those one can create these for recent buys and recent views?
Although I'd find this very useful, I ask more in hope than expectation.
All the best for the New Year.

Re: copying track list in CDPedia
Sure - just highlight the tracks, then COMMAND C to copy. Close the window and open the tracks window of a new one/the one you want to paste to. COMMAND V to paste the tracks in. Maybe there's an easier way, but this works

Re: How did you handle "boxsets"?
I must admit that I've wondered whether or not to bother listing boxsets in DVDpedia - since I will always list individual films. In the end I decided that I would enter them into the library, for potential insurance claims. So I enter the boxset, then in the GENRE field I enter 'Collection'. I then...

Re: DVDpedia "Original Title" field
Thank you for the information in the private message. I was debugging against the new style but you are using the old style. Seems what I told Keith is not entirely true, they have updated the old style to reflect the new original title change as well. This wasn't possible before, with that informa...

Re: iPad version!!
Having bought an iphone just as pocketpedia was removed, I'm very frustrated I do no have a portable pedia solution (the Evernote workaround just isn't practical with large collections). I would like an Ipad, but I'll not buy one until there is a pedia for it. I use the pedias everyday, especially w...

Merging Smart Collections
I'd quite like the ability to build smart collections out of existing (smart) collections. This would be of great use when 2 smart collection respectively contain a combination of 'match all' AND 'match any'. Here's a hypothetical E.g. in DVDpedia: a third smart collection created from the combinati...

Re: Alternative to Amazon
Assuming that this thread is now the extension of databases one, and further to discussion in the 'ipad' thread. Some more databases that have been useful to me: http://www.allmovie.com http://www.allmusic.com http://www.allgame.com - all part of the same group. Synopses are better than IMDb (IMO) a...

Re: iPad
Keith - you are totally correct in your assertion that IMDb is sufficient for 99% of users, including myself most of the time. Plus I also agree that DVDpedia and CDpedia could stand alone without Amazon. I'm sure Bruji are listening to you on that point. However, the base assumption that user-popul...

Re: iPad
Pool what data? Any of mine in DVDpedia that seems worthwhile enough to publicly share already came/comes from IMDb and Amazon. It's not like I've got anything new to contribute aside from bits of personal metadata of insignificant general interest. While it is true to say that 95% of the data in m...

Re: iPad
IMDb was started in Wales? Seriously? I had no idea.. :) We're not banking on that either because it might happen. Instead we're building our own database to replace Amazon in the Pedias. Yep, little old Wales, well they needed something to do when they couldn't dig coal  It should be said th...
