Cover Image export (DVDPedia/CDPedia)
It would be really fantastic if you setup an automated cover image export feature: For DVDPedia, where a VIDEO_TS folder has been linked, export the DVD cover to Preview.jpg to the DVD folder (the one containing the VIDEO_TS). The Preview.jpg allows Leopard's Front Row to display the cover art. For ...

Better support for multiple Macs
The current procedure: Mount disk to where the main database resides, make sure there is only one copy of ***Pedia running (otherwise you can easily overwrite your updates without any warning). I think this is pretty cumbersome. I also think it will become more of an issue, as the greatly improved F...

So Conor, did you go to WWDC? In which case we want gossip, like when are new Apple Cinema Displays coming out  I do have one friend there, the developer of Memory Miner (you all should check it out -- a great program), but he is too busy oohing and aahing over Core Animation to tell me anythi...

If you only care about the field being filled or not, you could just enter 't' into the Last Seen field and DVDpedia will fill it out for you as 'today'. (You might already know that trick but I wanted to point it out to others reading this too.) OK, maybe I'm missing something, but I tried enterin...

Option-p is the key equivalent; otherwise you can also tell RemoteBuddy to turn off while DVDpedia is active and DVDpedia will get the remote control events. I'll try option-p -- thanks! I actually did try to uncheck DVDPedia in the Remote Buddy preference pane, but that didn't work. Only quitting ...

Remote Buddy & DVDPedia Full Screen Mode
I installed Remote Buddy, and it doesn't work with full screen mode -- when you select a title, pressing "play" on the Apple Remote toggles you out of full screen mode, instead of playing the DVD. My question is: what is the keyboard equivalent for "play"? (Return/Enter didn't wo...

DVDPedia as a Front Row substitute
This is a thread I started at AVS Forum promoting DVDPedia as a Front Row substitute for playing DVDs that have been ripped to disk, which is a huge thing for the Mac HTPC crowd.

I have a feeling the really well implemented .Mac synching is a very hard thing to do, as even Apple hasn't quite gotten it right for address book, bookmarks, etc. What would make sense to me is better shared disk support -- having a locking mechanism so that accidental overwrites don't happen if mu...

Re: Scanning books with the iSight
A discovery I made after downloading Bookpedia: the scanning function is awful compared to that of Delicious Library. With Delicious Library you can basically wave the book in front of the camera, while with Bookpedia you have to adjust the distance, get the barcode exactly centered and not slanted...

With all that said, we are in the process of an update to DVDpedia. This will bring more flexibility and more information from Amazon along with a Links section where IMDb links can be added without any ambiguity as to copyright. IMDb does not forbid linking to their page, on the contrary, they wel...
