Re: Possible to share a library to multiple machines?
You can place the data folder in a shared location and use it simultaneously. Depending on OS X version, the share type and the architectures Core Data will even try to merge changes if both DVDpedia's are running. I'd like to merge the smaller DVDpedia library on my MBP into the primary one on my ...

Re: Bakodo
I just tinkered with the combination of Barcode2Desktop (free) with Pastebot ($3.99) to copy iPhone-scanned barcodes and remotely paste to DVDpedia. A Barcode2Desktop clipboard copy showed up in Pastebot but for some reason wouldn't show up on the Mac (pasted into DVDPedia's Edit > Add Multiple DVDs...

Re: Play Ripped Movie files
I'd almost suggested trying MacDVDRipper Pro (MDRP) if you didn't already have/use MTR 4.

Re: Play Ripped Movie files
An "Append .dvdmedia Extension To Folders" preference (disabled by default) was added to some version of MTR 4 (MacTheRipper). Similar prefs exist in MacDVDRipper Pro and RipIt.kbarnes70 wrote:thanks to sjk's tip about renaming the folder with an added .dvdmedia suffix.

Re: Play Ripped Movie files
Glad that helped you, Keith.
Btw, you can use "Show Package Contents" in Finder to view the contents of folders with .dvdmedia (and other) extensions that'll launch apps when opened normally (e.g. by double-clicking).

Try adding a .dvdmedia extension to the ripped folder that contains the VIDEO_TS folder, cf:

What's the Theatrical release value under Date formats in Preferences > General? It's %Y (the default) here.

Re: DVD Pedia: Freeze pane, checkbox and real "custom"
One should be able to "freeze pane" the Titles in "list mode", so that even when scrolling sideways through endless of info-columns, one could easily keep track of which films are listed downwards. Excellent suggestion. Why isn't there a simple checkbox for "movie seen"...
