Re: New potential user
Thanks for the extra info. If the barcode is correctly scanned it sounds like the trouble really is with the searching. Do you ever get good matches or do they always fail? Does it work if you manually type the barcode number in the search box? Here, I've changed preferences to limit searching to Am...

Re: New potential user
Which app(s)? Are you sure you're using the correct barcode and it's being fully scanned? Sometimes the image is a bit narrow and it'll take me a few tries to get it right.

Nope; Bruji only develops OS X products (for Mac and iPhone/iPod Touch).

Re: Pocketpedia - Playstation 2/Playstation 3 Error
For now all editing has to be done with Pedia apps on a Mac, then sync'd with Pocketpedia.

Re: Show duplicates
For my purposes, adding a column to a "Duplicates: *" collection that displays unique info is one way to differentiate items in it that might otherwise look identical in the Table View listing. Sort of the opposite of your issue, Show Duplicates won't find items I'd consider as duplicates ...

Re: Get Advanced Info misadventure [DVDPedia]
I'll consider adding a date edited column with the next serious update. Thanks. I think every update can be serious… especially if something goes wrong. ;) It's also useful to remember that DVDpedia has an undo option and that the first search on IMDb it's better to do with the gear button on the l...

Re: [DVDpedia 4.4.3] "Show in Collection" misbehaves in folders?
DVDpedia always creates aliases to movies, never duplicates. Presumably you mean that certain actions, like those in my example that I'd thought would create unique duplicates, will always create aliases. To create a duplicate you have to explicitly copy/paste a movie and the title of the new copy ...

Re: Get Advanced Info misadventure [DVDPedia]
I would have loved a "Last modified" column to sort by to easily find and then undo the mess. Last Modified would be useful metadata for me, too. How to prevent, or head off at the pass, IMDb from filling in nonsense with no recourse but to snoop around making guesses? My idea was to use ...

Re: [DVDpedia 4.4.3] "Show in Collection" misbehaves in folders?
That might explain what's happening, but it's counter-intuitive to me for a duplicate item to show up in a collection but "Show in Collection" to ignore it. I think the underlying issue is my not fully understanding what duplicates really are and how DVDpedia treats them in different conte...

Most changes for the Edit window I'm thinking of wouldn't necessarily use more space. I'll start a new thread about it later, also mentioning some specific usability issues I've discovered.

Re: [DVDpedia 4.4.3] "Show in Collection" misbehaves in folders?
Maybe it makes more sense rewritten like this: When duplicate copies of the same item exist in different excluded collections within a folder and that folder is selected, the "Show in Collection" context menu is only available for one of those items. If not, I could make some screen captur...

[DVDpedia 4.4.3] "Show in Collection" misbehaves in folders?
Bug: When adding the same item to a couple of excluded collections in a folder and selecting the folder, the "Show in Collection" context menu is only available for one of those items. Related suggestion: When selecting an item from a list of multiple collection displayed via a folder sele...

Re: Tags
Any reason more of the interface elements (menus, boxes, etc.) in the Edit window (at least) aren't more Aqua-looking/behaving, like in this KavaMovies screenshot? The DVDpedia interface has sort of a hybrid nature to it, if that makes sense.
