Re: 4.4.3 looks good, but can't find some new features...
it just made browsing my movie collection and moving movie files to the iPhone a whole lot easier. Maybe not, because: Ctrl-click in there to bring up the contextual menu where you can choose 'Show in Finder' to see the original file for the cover image in the Finder. Seems you want a way to easily...

Re: cataloging EyeTV recordings
I don't see any info on the left column displaying anything with a series number. It's still there, e.g. on the Arrested Development page I linked to earlier. But it doesn't have Season-Episode numbers, like on the comparable epguides.com page, and similar to: Here is another example of what I mean...

Re: DVDpedia: Separate Fields for Studio & Publisher
Enabling that preference did the trick -- thanks! I'd noticed Smart Collection matches were only returning results from Library items but hadn't figured out how to modify that behavior. After enabling the pref I had to add "Movie is not in collection <collection>" to a couple to keep them ...

Re: PocketPedia Sorting
Last night I discovered this sorting inheritance after synching Pocketpedia. Took me a moment to figure out why Library was sorted differently than other collections. Earlier I'd forgotten to change it back to Title sorting in DVDpedia after some testing.

Re: DVDpedia: Separate Fields for Studio & Publisher
Thanks for the info. Today I got a simple "ASIN is <empty>" Smart Collection to match items in the main Library. But this one doesn't work: Movie is in collection IMDb ASIN is <empty> … where IMDB is an excluded collection and most (unfortunately not all, as I'd hoped) items in it have an ...

Re: cataloging EyeTV recordings
That is the first time I saw the new TV.com layout. It is horrible. There was some other one before it that was at least as bad, which had temporarily replaced one that was still tolerably usable. I don't know the full history. I don't even see the Absolute episode number anymore on there site whic...

Re: DVDpedia: Separate Fields for Studio & Publisher
DVDpedia does not keep track of the sites per field. It would be useful to know for sure where certain info originated, and even be able select per-field download sources, but I can understand why it's not worthwhile enough to implement. DVDpedia however does keep track of Amazon and IMDb via the A...

cataloging EyeTV recordings
Thanks, Conor. That's fantastic news. Just gave it a try and it works quite well for a beta. Main thing missing I'd care about is the Episode name. Also noticed it prepends a '!' to stereo in the Sound field value. A major bonus is that it recognizes .eyetv packages even if the .mpeg files have been...

Re: Borrowed Option For A Specific Disc
Its just the number of what episode it is from the very beginning of the shows birth pretty much. Ahh, I see. Series is an absolute Episode number, not the one that's relative to the Season number. Like the No. column in TV.com Episode Guide listings, e.g.: Arrested Development . Side topic: Speaki...

Re: DVDpedia: Separate Fields for Studio & Publisher
This topic reminded me of something I'll briefly mention here … I've been wondering if it would be possible for DVDpedia to differentiate sources of information retrieved from different sites. As a specific example, the Studio field could track and somehow indicate its value was from Amazon, IMDb, o...

Re: View Options and other stuff
Yes, it is intended, it's how most databases work. Any editable field will cycle with tab. I'm not familiar with most databases but using Tab (plus any modifier key variants) to enter editable fields bothers me. To get out of the editing mode cycling with tab will do it once it reaches the end of e...
