Re: "A Bag of Random Menus" feedback
I have removed the plugin from the beta 49, so that users can install it directly into their application folder and avoid any warnings about both plugins being installed. That works. Will there be notifications if this plug-in is updated again since those updates won't be included with app updates?...

Re: "A Bag of Random Menus" feedback
DVDpedia tries to be backwards compatible with older menu plugins in 3.x- that work in a different way and this version detects it as two plugins being loaded with the same name. The new 5.x and the 3.x version and ignores one of them and emits the warning. It's fixed in the latest beta without num...

Leaving Bug Reporter in it's outdated, etc. sorry state is intentional, to discourage making bug reporting too modernly convenient.Conor wrote:Sadly it did not mean an overhaul to the bug reporter interface that I find outdated.

Re: "A Bag of Random Menus" feedback
The colon is a special character in the Mac OS system and acts like the forward slash. You can actually use forward slashes in OS X, but to be safe I simply replaced both with a hyphen. The name of the link will be updated to reflect that. Yup, I've known about colon vs. forward slash in OS X at le...

Re: OS X 10.9 and Pocketpedia sync is broken
Okay, it's back to 'pedia-related topics for me. But wait, now there's this: Apple Developer site hack: doubts cast on Turkish hacker's claims | Technology | guardian.co.uk Even if much of that seems speculative it got me wondering (again) if ibrahim Balic might be a decoy, which is an angle to thi...

Re: OS X 10.9 and Pocketpedia sync is broken
I've read several articles about Balic's antics, including the one on AI you linked to, but nothing new for the last couple days. Even if what's reported is accurate and legitimate it's not evidence that Balic is truthful. His "apology" seemed weak, not fully believing and admitting he's m...

Re: OS X 10.9 and Pocketpedia sync is broken
A bit surprised at the length of time they needed to plug those holes. Apparently what's being done goes beyond just "plugging holes", some likely just more time-consuming than difficult processes, and the general public isn't going to be informed of all the details. If Apple could have b...

"A Bag of Random Menus" feedback
For higher visibility, here's a verbatim quote of my reply to the recent blog post: Nice! Wish I had “Rename Linked File to Title” and “Show in Finder” a few months ago but I’ll still make use of them, and maybe “Duration to Hours”, in the future. Btw, in the “Rename Linked File to Title” example th...

Sounds like your brain did a switcheroo, while mine was sluggishly remembering the name… now recognizable to both again.

Re: Problem with Light Info View Template in Bookpedia
There is a program that does this for you, so that you could have multiple copies of preferences for any program, although it was aimed at iPhoto, but I forgot what the name of the program was. The one I'm aware of is SwitchUp , formerly rooSwitch. Kind of pricey ($29), but apparently there's an &q...

Re: Bookpedia: Dramatis personae and Duplicate Book
I hadn't realized the copy /paste commands actually worked that way. Neither did I at first, while looking for a single, explicit Duplicate command. And now I realize Copy/Paste can behave like Duplicate (even when it exists) in other apps, too, which can be worth checking before asking for help. :)

Re: Force Refresh
DVDpedia always filled empty fields if chosen plug-in reported good values, but that's not a REFRESH. For me a refresh is A SINGLE ACTION so the program will download values despite the field is filled or not. I'm Italian, maybe my English could be not so good, but take a look at the Oxford Diction...

Re: Force Refresh
Well… that is how to force a refresh, unless your definition of "force" is different than mine.
