Hi Joe, Email me a XML file from DVDProfiler and I will add it to the todo list. All I need are about three DVDs in the export with as much info as they can possible have. So that I know what fields are present in the XML. DVDpedia will launch your built in player, but you should check out he Movie ...

Most scanners send a return after the scan, allowing you to add the book, or use the add multiple to create a long list. But from the sound of it, it seems your scanner is not sending a return. So I think the best idea is like Nora said try it in a text document and then copy paste to the add multip...

Someone emailed me that they had a great HTML export for the palm and it looked great. Unfortunately I was never able to write back and get the template or the software he was using. In his email he refers to his handheld so it might have been a PocketPC. You could certainly use things like MobileDB...

Thank you for the link. We had talked to the person who had it developed. He is using a very neat setup using DVDpedia on his laptop and Mac minis with the movies on an Xserve; needless to say a large number of movies. I sent them some sample code to add DIVX support. We will be adding a link from o...

Strange that it does it in iTunes. I will take a look at the functions again, maybe there some secret function I am missing that would take foreign characters into account when sorting. Although Apple does have a habit of fixing things and making them better and keeping the functions private for a w...

I would have to write my own sorting function at the moment to sort the Swedish characters. DVDpedia uses Apples internal sort algorithm to sort, so hopefully there will put the Swedish characters at the end of the alphabet with the next version of OS X - Tiger.

DVD Release List

This is the best I have found. It was posted by a user, somewhere else in this forum. We are looking at integrating that database in the future.

The reason this change is slow in coming is that is one of the harder ones to do. It means a change to the core of DVDpedia not an addition. It means I have to change the main table to an outline view; and this table in the code of DVDpedia is the big daddy of everybody. It handles most requests, as...

Thank you for the suggestion. We get a lot of similar suggestions, users want one that will keep passwords and serial numbers, it is a first for warranties and bills. We will definitely consider it when developing our next products; but the competition of ideas is tough. So much to do, so little tim...

You can download the information for the separate movies straight from imdb instead of Amazon, as they just have an entry for the Star Wars Trilogy as one. But IMDB will give you the information for each movie. Just change the search locale to IMDB before searching.

Tempaltes

Some of the more basic templates work on the palm browser. Especially Kuzelnik's as they don't have images and are light weight. The simpler the HTML export is the more likely it is to work on the palm browser.

For future readers if you rename a template you have to rename the images folder associated with it, if any.
