Re: Online library: more entries missing than expected
I went back digging into the earlier logs from today. The last few entries of the previous session (when I uploaded everything then checked back on the server indicate a problem: JSON post to: https://doghouseapi.herokuapp.com/dvds/image Image reply: { JSON post to: https://doghouseapi.herokuapp.com...

Re: Online library: more entries missing than expected
I did what you asked for and this time, it looks like it succeeded to send everything out. I now see 1653 movies. Now, I don't know whether the new log entries are therefore useful in any way, but in any case, here they are: 6/25/14 5:21:11.253 PM DVDpedia[95147]: Update Tags https://doghouseapi.her...

Online library: more entries missing than expected
Hi All, After reading the latest blog entry today, I decided to test the latest beta and it's new Online library feature. I made sure I contributed all the entries in my library to the Dog House (1777 movies), checked the Dog tag field for each entry (1691 have a dog tag), then synced with the onlin...

Re: Suggestion : add sites Allociné and Movicovers for Franc
Sadly right after completing the update (a couple of weeks ago) the API became limited to specific partners, seems to be accessible now only for the official Allocine iOS apps and Windows application. If they open up the API to other third party users we will be sure to put them back up. I forgot t...

Re: Suggestion : add sites Allociné and Movicovers for Franc
Welcome to DVDpedia, thank you for the feedback. Will add these two sites to our list of possibilities. I saw on the release notes of the last update for DVDPedia: “Allocine, Sensacine, Filmstart and Screenrush plugins updated to use JSON. (All four plugins available for download from our Extras pa...

Re: Issue with Ligatures
I suspected it was something like that.
The β works beautifully. Thanks a million for that!

Issue with Ligatures
Hi All, I wante to report a problem I saw in DVDPedia (and that can possibly affect some of the other Pedias). French uses ligatures (œ, æ) in a number of words (cœur, sœur…). If you perform a search typing in the appropriate ligature, the search returns no result (I tested this mostly with Amazon)....

Re: Amazon.com and .fr issues
Well, I always restrict the search to titles.
Interestingly enough though, I re-tried the search just now and the right movies pop-up immediately.
It looks lik Amazon is having temporary glitches (again :-\ ).

Amazon.com and .fr issues
Hi All, DVDPedia used to be pretty good at finding my titles on Amazon.com and .fr but for some reason, most of the results I get now are completely off. I performed a search for Immortals on Amazon.com for instance and another one for Ces amours là on Amazon.fr and in both cases, I simply could not...

Re: [DVDPedia] Problems with Amazon.fr?
With Amazon the results range widely when you don't limit the search. Be sure to set the limit to "Title", this will remove all the results that might mention "Alien" in other fields. To show the limits you need to select the actual Amazon search site from under the magnifying g...

Re: [DVDPedia] Problems with Amazon.fr?
It could very well be… but it's weird, since for some searches, I get some results. THey're just completely irrelevant (when I know there are relevant results, e.g.: I tried searching for Alien and only got irrelevant results). Now the weirdest thing is that today, it seems to be working when yester...

[DVDPedia] Problems with Amazon.fr?
Hi, I’ve been trying to add a few movies of mine in DVDPedia and I’m wondering whether there might be a problem with searches on Amazon France. I tried searching for “Un éléphant ça trompe énormément“ for instance and DVDPedia didn’t find anything. If I search Amazon.fr directly in my web browser th...

Re: Accented characters (importing from DL)
Thanks a million. I tested it and unfortunately it didn’t work :( é is still showing up as À© upon import from Delicious Library for instance (where it properly shows up as é). All accented characters are still messed up… Would you need me to upload a DL Library somewhere for you to test with?? (tho...

Accented characters (importing from DL)
Hi All, I noticed what I believe to be a bug while importing from Delicious Library to DVDPedia. I have a lot of DVDs in French, and for some of them, the import in DVDPedia displays encoding errors for accented characters. e.g.: Après le triomphe de L'Auberge espagnole, Cédric Klapisch a choisi d...
