Re: EyeTV import excludes entries with no media file
Thank you for the files. It was only checking against duplicates that where still inside the EyeTV collection. I have updated Beta 7 now to locate duplicates in your entire database. Oh, I see. Yes, it should check the whole database because an item could have long ago been put in the Library and s...

Re: EyeTV episode name not importing to DVDpedia episode name
Thank you for the explanation. That was very clever, I was looking at the first command only and trying to figure out how the concatenation was cutting the long title string short. Now I understand that you were setting up a custom field to use in the replace later on. I was confused thinking that ...

Re: EyeTV import excludes entries with no media file
Could you please send me a .dcard (drag from the table view to the Finder) for the two duplicates entries. DVDpedia should not import a file that would have the same URL in the links tab. I want to double check that the not identical, as this is what the skip criteria is based on. The missing mpg f...

Re: EyeTV import excludes entries with no media file
Just had a chance to test this here and DVDpedia 4.5.5 successfully imported EyeTV recordings (in .eyetv packages) with deleted .mpg files. What doesn't work is importing those .mpg-less recordings by dragging them directly from the Recordings pane in EyeTV; DVDpedia's Dock icon refuses to become a...

Re: Custom fields don't update until Prefs quit
The preferences update waits for the window to close as there a number of settings that are checked and updated if necessary including internal files to keep track of the change. Although, I now understand your predicament of using the fields tab to arrange fields without having the updated names. ...

Re: EyeTV episode name not importing to DVDpedia episode name
Thank you for the details. I was not aware of the trick with || to cut the string short. In fact since Google does not search for characters such as periods or the pipe (personal peeve) I am still unsure on what exactly it does? I originally spent a while looking at the substr() function looking fo...

Re: EyeTV episode name not importing to DVDpedia episode name
Unfortunately, the SQLite functions (type of database we use) are a bit limited and there is no way to split the episode information out by looking for the dash character. If you have the original EyeTV files you could remove the entries and drag over the EyeTV files again to create new entries wit...

Label custom fields for SQLite reference?
Hi, Would it be possible to label the custom fields permanently, in the prefs window, so that you can always tell which is field 1, 2, etc.? As it is, once the fields are given names it's not possible to tell which is which, for calling in SQL. Custom1 and Custom10 are deducible, but since the field...

Custom fields don't update until Prefs quit
Hi, I've noticed that when I make a change to a custom field name, the change is not reflected in the Fields pref tab until I close and reopen prefs. This is not really a bug, I suppose, but it is a bit awkward since I have to keep flipping back and forth between tabs to see what name I've assigned ...

Re: EyeTV import excludes entries with no media file
I've left all the other files intact; just deleted the mpg files.Conor wrote:This shouldn't be the case. What is needed is that the file end in .eyetv. After that the .eyetvp and .eyetvr files inside are used for the meta data information and the .tiff for the cover.

EyeTV import excludes entries with no media file
Until recently, when I dragged an EyeTV selection into DVDpedia, it imported whether or not I had deleted the mpg file from the episode package. In just the last few days, entries with no mpg file are no longer imported. (This change may have been concurrent with the recent change to how episode nam...

Re: EyeTV episode name not importing to DVDpedia episode name
Now that the episode names are coming in so beautifully, I am looking at the dozens ... nay, hundreds ... of old episodes that still have their title & episode name combined in the Title field. Is there any way to split those automatically or at least in a faster way than cutting & pasting e...

EyeTV episode name not importing to DVDpedia episode name
I've added Episode Name as a custom field. When I import from EyeTV, the series title and episode name are combined into DVDpedia's Title field, and nothing goes into the Episode Name field. Am I missing something?
