*pedia - Safe to buy from Bruji webstore?

Hi,

There are a lot of companies out there who recently violently migrated to Mac App Store, ditching their own web store so that customers of the web store version had to punchase the apps again if they want to have further upgrades.
I see that there a at least some *pedia applications available on the MAS.
So my question is: Is it safe to buy apps from Bruji's web store or is it expected that the company moves to MAS only in the future?
I personally do not like the MAS that much and would prefer buying it from your own store.

We do not have any plans to move to the Mac App Store exclusively. Especially since we have a lot more freedom in terms of development selling through our own store (there are a lot of restrictions placed on developers once you start selling your programs through the MAS).
