Deleted Album Restoration

Post by DanThe »

This something that happened in CDPedia but could also apply to the other apps.

I accidentally deleted an album and was wondering if it could be restored as you would a file that is still in the Trash. If not, would it be possible to have a trash bin feature in the apps for those "Oh No!" moments?

Thanks.

Thank you for the feedback of a trash feature. The app is supposed to have undo support for this but it's something that stopped working in the latestest MacOSs that I have to fix. But that solution also requires you to realize in a timely manner that you want the album back.

Under the help menu you can reset warnings, if you have disabled them for delete. This is a helpful pause to avoid a mistake.

Thanks Conor.

This happened while adding a new album. I was removing the a long list of track artist information using repeated delete and return key sequences and for a moment lost track of how far into the list I was. My warnings were still in place and I had used the undo in the past but the deletion is totally my fault (human factor or between the chair and the keyboard ).

That's why the trash container would add another safeguard.
