DVDpedia failing to import tags & director from IMDB.

Post by gonnemans »

Hi dear people of this brilliant software,

I'm on a mac Sequoia 15.0.1. Every pedia I have works smoothly just for this one thing: no longer importing of 'director' & 'tags' from IMDB (other info fine).
Just so know.
I use the cd, book and dvd pedia's on a daily basis for over 10 years, thanks for all the joy its bringing.

Greetings from Holland

Usually when this sort of thing happens it means IMDb has slightly altered their API, again :(

We will all have to wait till Conor finds time to update the Pedia’s search plug-in.

For my current work-around, I use Excel. I copy the IMDb tags from the page and paste into Column A in Excel. I sort to remove the "helpful" up/down votes.

In Column B, I use the formula:

=A1&","

This adds a comma after every tag. Copy this column and paste into the DVDPedia tags field.
