Gestures

Post by djorge »

Hi,
after trying DVDPedia, GamePedia and BookPedia for 10 minutes i have decided to bought the whole package. This is a great program. Congratulations!!

I have a brand new MacBook Pro Penryn and i'd like to see the gestures supported in DVDPedia to navigate through the DVDs like it happens with mail application or in safari to go back or forward.

What do you think?

Thank you for the feedback. The gestures are not yet part of the authorized events that 3rd party developers can receive. Presumably because they are new and Apple is still deciding on how best to make them available. There is an enhancement request filed with Apple as like us many other developers would like to integrate them. If you think of additional gestures that would benefit DVDpedia do let us know as we can make that part of the enhancement request; at the moment there are pinch, rotate and swipe gestures (I can see three spaced taps as an interesting shortcut for three dots as in "tell me more"). I would have expected that Apple's table view that is used in DVDpedia should integrate these gestures, at least the swipe gesture to change the row selection.
