IN CDpedia the "Tag" entry is useful in that it allows for distinct entries. It would be useful if this property could also be introduced to the "Artist" and "Composer" entries.
I catalogue classical music and find it frustrating to catalogue CDs
(a) when the CDs are compilations of different well-known composers, and
(b) when well-known artists perform together in different combinations on CDs.
This happens a lot in classical music and results in a large list of multi "composer" and "artist" strings which are fundamentally useless as the various combinations rarely repeat.
It would be much simpler if the "Artist" and "Composer" entries could allow for distinct entries as with the "Tags" entry.
I suspect that this would require minimal additional reprogramming, but I can't do it myself.

Re: Tags
Thank you for the feedback. We do want to extend the tag type field to other fields where it makes sense, but we are holding off and testing the field only in the tags area for now. As it's a relatively new type of field that Apple made avaliable and we want to make sure it works as we expect in all conditions; as well as enhancing it so that it can deal with more cases that are likely to happen in fields that are not tags, i.e. Artist separated by a slash instead of a comma and the more common such as keeping "Beatles, The" together (comma is a separator for the tag field).
