We have a PowerBook G5 and an external iSight camera which we have been attempting to use for gathering book information via barcode. It works ok (somewhat spotty) for about 10 books, then the entire application hangs and the only way to get it to respond is to do a "force quit". I also have a MacBook Pro (previous generation) and have very little luck using the buitin iSight camera - it seems to work (again, spotty) for a few books stops working (but doesn't hang).

Try out the beta as we recently have made a few slight changes to the iSight. If the lockup continues, do send us any errors from Bookpedia that you might find in your console log, use the program of the same name in your utilities folder to view the log. Also using "Activity Monitor" Bookpedia can be sampled with the "Sample" button on the toolbar of Activity Monitor producing a report of what section of the program Bookpedia is lockup in. This information can be very helpful in helping us narrow the program. Thank you.
