Pocketpedia, iphone fw 3.1.3 and USB sync

I just read that iphone firmware 3.1.3 will disable the USB sync that I presume pocketpedia is using to sync with my dvdpedia database. There is a solution for this planned or pocketpedia use a "legal" way to sync his database and I can update my phone without losing pocketpedia?

Apple said usb sync is a private api, maybe pocketpedia uses a public one instead

Pocketpedia doesn't use the USB sync. The sync is via WiFi (which is why your Mac and your iPhone need to be connected to the same network).
