Can't link files

Hi,
Just updated to version 7 & now can't add a link to album entries in CD Pedia.
Here's the procedure I followed as per the "help menu".

You can link most types of files, URLs, images or movies to your CDpedia entries.
Open the details view by pressing the 'i' button in the toolbar or choosing 'Details' from the View menu.

Select the entry you want to link something to.

Drag the file, URL, image or folder to be linked over the details view.

I have scanned copies of album covers with the liner notes that I want to link to each particular album. I previously did this to uploads stored in DropBox & it worked fine.....now not so good.
I could also use the files just as they are in my computer, rather than from the cloud, but I can't get them to link either.

OK...so I think I have it sorted.

Got rid of all the old links & now I can link files from my computer to each album, so seems OK now.

Sorry for the confusion.
