Re: Film Composers in DVDpedia
DVDpedia is a great application. I think it can be much more than a DVD library. It's quickly become one of my favorite apps. I definitely see its potential for being the single database to manage all my DVD renting/buying/viewing and theatre viewing. Still figuring out which custom metadata I'll w...

Re: View Options and other stuff
Then a single click near the beginning of the column will start the edit With the keyboard Tab (and Option-Tab, at least) also activates field editing; is that intended? The DEVONtechnologies folks considered it a bug in DEVONthink and changed its behavior. In DVDpedia I still haven't learned to st...

duplicate shortcuts in Mark As submenu
Just noticed that Returned and Bought under the Edit > Mark As submenu both use the Shift-Command-R shortcut. Is that intentional (and for what purpose), a bug, or something misconfigured on my system? Thanks.

Keyboard Shortcuts under the iTunes Help menu might be helpful to you. And a Google search for "OS X" "Keyboard Shortcuts".thowi wrote:What do you mean with "option-delete"? I'm sorry I don't know the way in iTunes either

Re: Search engine: 2 sources 4 different fields?
The basic rule is that DVDpedia doesn't change a field that is already filled in. It *adds* new information to empty fields each time you update from a different source. Thanks for the explanation, confirming how I'd guessed it worked. Then do the update using 'Get More Information". Can't fin...

And they don't just listen - they *respond* too! Indeed they do and no one can underestimate how much I appreciate that. :D Btw, this thread is helping me understand how to add/merge info from IMDb (e.g. ratings) to whatever's originally added from Amazon.com -- thanks. Still not sure what all's po...

Got that, and as mentioned in my reply I'll be moving further correspondence about this to support e-mail so it's all kept together. Thanks for followups here.Conor wrote:I have also PMed the solution to your troubles.

Re: Problem reentering serial number
And I just discovered that fscking eSellerate updater fscked-up some permissions on the eMac where it shouldn't have, which is why I was so hesitant to run it without knowing more details!! Edit: It fscked-up at least some /Library/Application Support permissions. This is going to take some t...

Re: Problem reentering serial number
Tried eSellerate's version on the iMac and yours on the eMac. No success with either.
It's not easy troubleshooting this eSellerate, MindVision, VISE junk when it fails.
Thanks for the help. What next?

Re: Problem reentering serial number
Thanks, Alex. Will the slightly newer version of Engine Updater for Mac OS X on eSellerate's site also work and do you know specifically what it changes? I'm redundantly asking here because I haven't gotten a response from Nora's in PM yet and hope to get this resolved before the weekend.

…, only in special cases like yours where a minor change was needed, … Actually it was palwagner's special case; I only interrupted the thread with some beta questions/comments. :) I'd looked at DVDpedia's version history page awhile ago and forgot to acknowledge it in my post. The different versio...

Re: Problem reentering serial number
FYI, I just got an "Esellerate engine install failed with code: 2000" error when trying to register DVDpedia. Sent mail to Bruji support about it before seeing this thread so I didn't include a system profile.

Re: Importing fields from DVD Cache
The betas linked from the forum can be used all the time. The include only minor changes such as this one, localizations and other small improvements. Okie dokie. We would have a hard time spotting the differences to the release version ourselves. It's confusing to me because, for example: The beta...
