DVDpedia: Files with quotes in the filename won't open

Post by Wondercow »

DVDpedia seems to have an error where files with quotation marks in the filename, e.g. Some Music Group "The Popular Song".mkv, don't get opened in VLC. In fact "FILE_PATH" never gets passed to the Applescript in my testing.

Is this something that can be fixed?

Thanks!

Thank you for the bug report and the exact details. Indeed when launching in fullscreen mode that uses the VLC AppleScript to go fullscreen in VLC it breaks on double quotes, they are used to encapsulate the URL for the script. I have encoded any quotes in the URL to fix the issue in the beta version. Let me know if that works for you as well.

Thanks for the quick response Conor; it seems to be working now (though I'll soon post another bug  )
