smart collection based on rating

hi --

i want to make a smart collection of books that i haven't rated yet, but i can't figure out what the setting should be. i've tried setting rating is less than 1 and rating is equal to zero, but that eliminates all entries. in itunes collections, the star dialog is defaulted when making smart playlists by rating.

how can i do this here?

You want to set the criteria for the smart collection to the following:
My Rating is [blank stars]
That'll give you a collection with all the entries that don't have a star rating.
