1) Is there a way to prevent items marked as wish list from being removed from the main Library folder/group ?
2) Is it possible to repurpose the Checkbox fields "Sold" / "On Sale" and give them my own names (as I am not using this software to sell books)... someway to get under the hood and change the names?

1) With the wish list selected, use "File -> Include Collection in Library". You can do the opposite to regular collection and exclude them (a friends collection).
2) Since they are not custom fields, you have to rename them inside the program. Take advantage of the localization file. Control-click on Bookpedia and use "Show Package Contents". Find "Resources/Englih.lproj/RealTitles.string" and open it in a text editor. Change the right side of the row for "Sold" and "On Sale" to your preference. Do keep a copy of the file as you would have to drop it in after updates, as the update will rewrite that file.
